On Jun 27, during her commute from Woodlands checkpoint to Queen Street, a 21-year-old Malaysian lady had the misfortune of having a pervy 26-year-old man as a seatmate.
Ow Yong Chee Hao, a Malaysian chef, sat close to her and used his elbow to touch her waist area, and “when he noticed her using a WeChat application on her mobile phone, he showed her his phone with a typed message asking her for her WeChat account name,” reports The Straits Times.
Because he persisted, she gave in. Ow then continued being the sex maniac that he was by messaging her with one hand, and using the other to stroke her thigh. He asked her why she was ignoring him, called her sexy and said that he wanted to hold her hand.
The harassment only stopped after the bus reached the terminal. Ow Yong will be jailed for one month, though he could have been sentenced up to two years, fined, caned or both.
