A very upset parent of a six-year-old daughter and student of the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) childcare centre in Taman Jurong took to social media to bring attention to a disturbing incident — she was apparently molested by a classmate.
According to the girl’s parent, what happened was that a boy had snuck up to her while his daughter was sleeping during naptime. The six-year-old boy allegedly placed his hand up the girl’s skirt and “started caressing her private part”. No teacher was present at the time, but according to the girl, her classmate saw the whole thing.
Already angered by the apparent molestation that took place, the parent got even more upset when the boy’s mother refused to come down to the school. The principal had also given off the impression of wanting “to push the responsibility away”.
“My girl is now feeling so frightened and traumatised,” said the parent in the viral Facebook post.
“She even voiced out that she is so scared that it will happen again. She doesn’t want to nap in the school with the boy’s presence because she is afraid he would anytime crawl over to touch her again. “It’s so devastating to hear this from her.”
The police were called in — but even they couldn’t do a thing as the alleged molester was under the age of seven, and can’t be arrested. Watch the ruckus unfold below:

PCF headquarters have initiated investigations into the incident, and PCF CEO Victor Bay also assured that a child psychologist and teacher have been assigned to “engage the girl and look after her well-being”.
As for the boy, he is undergoing counselling with the psychologist, and his parents have agreed not to send him to the centre for now. A teacher will keep in touch with the family for any follow-up actions.
“We deeply regret the incident and fully sympathise with the parents in their distress,” said Bay. “Our top priority is the well-being of our young children.”
