Passengers forced to disembark Singapore Airlines flight after technical fault message

A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight was preparing to take off this morning (Jan. 7) when its pilots received a technical fault message, forcing the plane to taxi back to the gates and its passengers, to disembark, The Straits Times reports.

There were 265 passengers and 25 crew on the Airbus A380 flight SQ830 bound for Shanghai.

The flight scheduled to depart from Terminal 3 at 9:20am returned to the gates at 9:55am. At 11:30am, passengers re-boarded the aircraft, now declared serviceable by engineers, and the flight took off at 12:10pm.
