In this age of dashcams, it’s amazing how some drivers still act like such twats on the road despite knowing their actions can and will be recorded and circulated online for the world to condemn. But sometimes, disputes take place inside vehicles as well, and those not on their best behavior can similarly be at the receiving end of viral fame.

Take this scenario, for example. Reportedly occurring on Feb. 23 at an unknown location, a passenger was filmed refusing to pay his taxi driver the full fare, even going so far as to threaten the cabbie with claims that he was part of the 369 gang in Singapore.

The dashcam footage making the rounds online showed the passenger informing the cabbie that he made a wrong turn and missed the destination in the process. Unfortunately, they were on a one-way street, so the passenger requested for the driver to reverse the vehicle. Obviously, that was a no-go, and the passenger eventually told the driver to stop ahead.

But instead of forking out the full fare, the passenger claimed he did not want to pay, even after the driver said he would call the police. The argument then escalated when both got out of the taxi and the passenger said he was a gang member in response to the cabbie warning him not to run away.

In case you haven’t seen the signs on taxi cars, the penalty for taxi fare evasion is S$200 for first-time offenders and S$400 for second-time offenders. Also, gangs and secret societies in Singapore aren’t exactly welcomed by the police.
