Registrations opened last Saturday (May 24) for two of EtonHouse International’s E-Bridge Pre-School centres in the Rivervale area.
According to an article by the Lianhe Zaobao — Singapore’s largest Mandarin-language newspaper — on Sunday (May 25), five parents were already in the queue by midnight with another five joining them in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
While some parents do it for the distance, the TODAY newspaper quoted a father saying that he was more interested in putting his eight-month old daughter on wait-list for pre-nursery the next year. Kiasu, much?
Known for its International Baccalaureate-based curriculum, EtonHouse reported about a 100 children registered within the first hour, and more than 170 applications by closing time 3pm for the other two centers in the Rivervale area.
EtonHouse International’s E-Bridge Pre-school is offering about 300 vacancies in total at three of its locations, all of which will be open in the third quarter of this year. Parents will be notified of the results by the end of next week.
