Over 5,000 party people witnessed ‘sunrise’ for the first time at ZoukOut

You’d think one of the highlights of partying on an offshore island — one of Singapore’s top attractions no less — would be a beautiful sunrise as closing ceremony.

But ZoukOut‘s always ended on a rather dreary note, what with all the rain in the past years and no thanks to the location of their Siloso Beach venue.

This year, though, over 5,000 partygoers (kudos, guys!) got to end the two-day festival with one, albeit fake, created by Heineken Singapore.

The Heineken Sunrise, a glowing, 10-metre wide orb that rose approximately seven storeys high, took centre stage from 6:30 — 7am on Dec. 15.

The best part? It was powered by dance steps — 431,911 of ’em to be precise — collected from the dance-reactive floor made special for the occasion.

See more photos of the Heineken Sunrise in our gallery below — as usual, you gotta click the expand button on the top right-hand corner to see the good stuff in widescreen.
