Sometimes, good deeds go unnoticed. Other times, they blow up on social media and get tons of attention. In this case, an optical shop employee has received loads of praise online for his outstanding service — the man actually went the extra mile (literally) to Changi Airport so he could deliver a pair of spectacles to a longtime customer just before he boarded his flight.
First class customer service, indeed.
In a Facebook post that went viral, a man shared his father’s experience with Jamco Optical, an optical shop at Katong Shopping Centre. Apparently, an employee (who is believed to be the boss’ son) hurried over to Changi Airport all “drenched in sweat” just so he could deliver the glasses and adjust them on the spot. The father had originally wanted to delay his flight for his business trip as he could not fly without the new pair of spectacles — but as it turns out, he didn’t need to.
According to The Straits Times, it seems that the family have been loyal Jamco Optical customers for over 20 years.
