With fares starting from $199 to fly from Singapore to London, it’s rather hard to believe the news — but by Jove, it’s true. It’s bloody true.
Budget airline Norwegian plans to launch its non-stop service between Changi Airport and London’s Gatwick Airport this September, and the flight fares seem to cost way, way lesser than usual. Singapore-London fares start from SGD199 for economy class, and premium class tickets start from SGD839 — that includes all applicable fees and taxes.
Commencing on Sept. 29, Norwegian’s UK subsidiary will first launch a four-time weekly service before increasing it to five times weekly from Oct. 29 to Mar. 24 for the Northern winter season.
A Gatwick-based crew will be used for the 344-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in a two-class configuration offering economy and premium cabins.
“Our transatlantic flights have shown the huge demand for affordable long-haul travel, so we are delighted to expand into new markets and offer our first route to Asia from the UK,” noted Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos.
“Travel should be affordable for all so adding Singapore to our growing UK network will give passengers even more choice for affordable, quality travel to a range of global destinations.”
Flight tickets can totally be booked right now on Norwegian’s website.
