NSman dies 10 days after suffering from stroke in camp

A 24-year-old National Serviceman died on Dec. 20 after suffering a stroke 10 days earlier during training. 

The Singapore Armed Forces said Corporal Heng Wei Shian was found motionless, but conscious at Kranji Camp on Dec. 10. 

He had received treatment at the Kranji Camp II Medical Centre before he was sent to Khoo Tech Puat Hospital, where he underwent an emergency operation. 

Corporal Heng died while he was being warded in the intensive care unit.
