Now that Christmas is over, you can donate your trees to the River Safari’s Justin Beaver and his friends

First off, can we just applaud whoever it was at the River Safari that named Justin Beaver (and his friend Selena)?

So anyway, The Beavs and his buddies at Wildlife Reserves Singapore are apparently always on the lookout for natural goodies to gnaw on, scratch, sniff, or play with. And last Friday, one netizen put out a call for “real, lush and green Christmas tree[s]” on behalf of JBeav.

Garnering a couple hundred shares on social media, the Facebook post urged the public to come forward with their now-unwanted Christmas trees, since the Yuletide season is pretty much over. If you’re keen on donating yours, head over to the Singapore Zoo’s open-air carpark on Jan 5, from 9am to 2pm.

But in the meantime, you can probably go ahead and keep watering your trees to keep them from browning too quickly.

Response online was mostly positive, although some worried about whether the festive trees were suitable for the animals.
