A group of four students from Nanyang Technological University’s (NTU) Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information has initiated a rallying call against cyber aggression.
Called Not A Keyboard Warrior, the Harley Davidson-sponsored campaign gets people to pledge and take a stance against cyber-bullying acts like flaming and trolling, and highlights the negative consequences of those acts.
The campaign culminated in a roadshow held at Scape on the weekend of Feb. 22 — 23.
Last month, the campaign uploaded a video of the NTU students interviewing youths on the streets entitled Are you turning people off with your Facebook profile? (watch it below).
Cyber aggression is becoming a worrying trend in Singapore after a Microsoft global cyber-bullying survey placed us second, in between China and India.
Yesterday, Law Minister K. Shanmugam introduced the Protection from Harassment Bill, which considers harassment in its various forms, including stalking, an offence.
