A fault in the new signalling system has disrupted train services on SMRT’s North-South Line this rainy evening. Right on time for your journey back home!
At 6:18pm, SMRT informed commuters to add another 20 minutes to their travel time between Yishun and Marina South Pier MRT stations in both directions. Free bus services are being provided for stranded commuters between Ang Mo Kio and Marina South Pier MRT stations, though we presume it’ll be even more crowded as heck due to the rain.
[NSL]: Due to a New Signalling System fault near Ang Mo Kio, pls add 20mins travel time btwn #Yishun & #Marina South Pier.

Travel time of 25 minutes was then heaped on for those journeying between Marina South Pier and Yishun, but SMRT insists train services are still available.
