Nikon Singapore is being trolled aggressively after awarding a photography contest prize to an obviously photoshopped image.
“Yu Wei chanced upon a set of ladders while on a photowalk with his friends in Chinatown, and thought the view above would make an interesting perspective. Little did he expect to catch an airplane in mid-air. We’ll try looking up too, Yu Wei; your shot has won you a Nikon trolley bag. Congratulations!” the venerable photography brand said in a post on their Singapore Facebook page.

That’s all well and good, except that the image was clearly an utter fake. Online sleuths very quickly pointed out the pixelated cut-and-pasted plane at the center.
The trolls than piled on with a field day of photoshop shenanigans.
“Nikon, Here is the definite proof that it is a fake. just change the adjustment levels and you can see it clearly,” one user.

“He should have waited longer for the coaster to add a bit of drama,” said another.

“Such a poor copy and paste by Yu Wei can win a Nikon trolley bag, my entry can win the new Nikon D5 with AF-S 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR. LOL !!!”

Then things started to get out of hand.

The fun is still happening over at the original post which inexplicably has not been taken down as of the time of this writing.
