The next time you’re desperate to get your hands on a new release, limited edition launch or exclusive collaboration — but loathe standing in line for hours (or days) — hit up local start up iQueue for help.

Founded in May, the professional queueing service — which totally understands the ridiculous kiasu spirit in Singapore that makes people queue for just about anything, from the latest new gadget to newly hyped-up eateries — currently has 10 professional queuers on its team, most of whom are students and homemakers.

But of course, the service comes at a price — because really, nobody enjoys waiting in line — and packages under iQueue range from $20 an hour to $250 for 18 hours. Each month, the company receives an average of about 10 clients, for whom it has queued for stuff like concert tickets, mobile phones, food, fashion collections and action figurines.

The idea for the concept came about with more and more product launches making the news for the crowds of Singaporeans who would take days off work just to wait in line. One of the co-founders told TODAY that some of the challenges his employees experience include dealing with fatigue and the weather, working around strict queueing systems put in place by businesses and malls, and finding information related to the event or launch (hopefully) before the public.

According to the newspaper, there’ve been similar platforms established in recents years, but some of them have shuttered, as business was not sustainable. But the co-founders of iQueue remain optimistic about their system, which goes the extra mile to make surprise deliveries to clients’ offices and recommend items to regular customers based on their preferences.
