Say goodbye to the days of calming your “hangry” feelings when someone’s late for dinner again, or digging out spare change from your wallet to pay your half of the bill. With new local app Eatsy, dining out could get a whole lot easier.
With its concept of social ordering and payment, the free-to-download app features a bill splitting function that can be customized for couples going dutch, friends paying for their own portions, or groups divvying the total amount down the middle. Even if any of that isn’t typically an issue for you, the app allows you to browse restaurant menus and send in your orders, making for a smooth ordering process without all the awkward hemming and hawing in front of the wait staff.
Eatsy also offers the occasional F&B promo and gives users up to eight percent cashback, in case you happen to be watching your spending.
For now, the list of participating eateries isn’t extensive — names on board include Cedele, Strictly Pancakes, The Clan Restaurant, Rochor Thai, Bar on Chulia, and Provisions — but you can keep tabs on Eatsy’s Facebook page for updates on new additions.
Sure, you may be thinking we’ve already got quite a few #lifehack apps in Singapore that make our lives better, but hey, there’s always room for more.
