New indoor city KidZania allows children to try out all kinds of jobs for a day

Kids sure get to have all the fun (probably ’cause they’re already so stressed out from school). KidZania Singapore, the latest family-friendly edutainment attraction to open at Sentosa, is a massive 7,600 square metre park that allows young ones to run wild and (role)play. Everything runs on kidZos, its form of currency, and it even has its own language, like ‘ZanKs’ for ‘Thank you’ and ‘Kai’ for ‘Hello’.

Designed for children aged four and above, the space collaborates with 37 real-world brands (17 from Singapore) to build a life-sized city where little ones can experiment with various occupations and try out different activities to find their dream occupation. These include policemen, bankers, pizza makers, radio DJs, actors, pilots, firemen and more. Talk about starting young.

Take a look at some of the ‘jobs’ available.

You’ll never have to queue for bak kwa ever again — just make your own.
Try out two types of flight simulators to see if you can stomach the ride.
Because who doesn’t wanna learn how to make a good pizza?
Rescue people from burning buildings like a boss.
Finally, a chance to run into a vault and roll around in piles of cash.
Now you’ll know what it feels like to be on the other side of the customs desk.

KidZania Singapore is at #01-01/02 Palawan Kidz City, 31 Beach View. Sun-Thur 10am-5pm, Fri, Sat, school holidays and eve of PH 10am-8pm. Tickets range from $25-$58.
