New Guinness World Record set at MBS for largest gathering of people dressed as ghosts

The event plaza at Marina Bay Sands was super happening over the weekend. On Sunday evening, loads of ghost lookalikes crowded the area to get a glimpse of Hollywood actress Melissa McCarthy and director Paul Feig — both involved in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot. The all-female remake of the 1984 supernatural horror comedy also stars names like Kristen Wiig and Leslie Jones, and will be released in Singapore on July 14.

In spite of the rain earlier, throngs of fans turned up and a new Guinness World Record was set for the largest gathering of people dressed as ghosts in one venue. The magic number was 263, to be exact. And all the participants were in head-to-toe white onesies and carrying masks with the film’s iconic ‘no ghost’ symbol.

Also, side note, McCarthy said the white pepper crab she ate in Singapore “literally blew [her] mind”. Just sayin’.
