New developments at East Coast Park include more lawn space and a laser tag arena

East Coast Park will offer more open space, family-friendly amenities and recreational options when both phases of enhancement complete.

Parkland Green opening in September next year will have a one-hectare lawn to occupy more picnics than before, a laser tag arena, as well as eight dining establishments including cafes and a microbrewery. It will also be equipped with 20 bicycle stands, two toilets including one with shower facilities, a garden-themed carpark, as well as a covered green roof walkway linking to an existing underpass from Marine Parade.

Marine Cove (top photo; artist impression), which will complete in mid-2016, will also have an open park space and dining and recreational facilities to complement Parkland Green’s. There’ll also be a playground promising interactive and inclusive play equipment that will be suitable for children of varying ages, as well as those with physical challenges.
