New Airbus 350 will be on display at Singapore Airshow next month

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus will put its all-new widebody A350 XWB airliner on full display at the Singapore Airshow next month.

The prototype undertook its maiden flight Jun. 14 last year at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France.

In a press release, Airbus said that the flight test aircraft will be put on both static and flying display, so guests at the Airshow on Feb. 11 and 12 can experience first-hand its sleek design and features, including maneuverability and exceptionally low noise levels.

Asia-Pacific accounts for 30 percent or 244 of the 812 A350 XWBs ordered worldwide to date. Fabrice Brégier, Airbus president and chief executive officer, said, “The Asia-Pacific region is the fastest growing market for the air transport industry and will drive future demand for widebody aircraft in all seat categories.”

Singapore Airlines Ltd and AirAsia X are among carriers from the region that have placed orders for the new aircraft. The first batch of commercial A350 XWBs will be delivered to Qatar Airways Ltd in the final quarter of this year.
