The National University of Singapore (NUS) is the no. 1 university in Asia, according to Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) World University Rankings.
Released on September 9, the rankings reveal NUS has moved up to no. 24 on the global list, making it the top university in Asia for the first time ever, surpassing the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has also moved up to its best recorded position, now seventh in the region and 41st on the global list.
According to a press release by NUS yesterday, QS head of research Ben Sowter was said to have complimented NUS on their progress.
“(For NUS), securing a position in the world’s top 20 is only a matter of time,” he said.
