This man just can’t stop loving the Lion City. Nuseir Yassin, the relentlessly upbeat Israeli-Palestinian Facebook vlogger behind Nas Daily is back in town after stints in places such as China, Hong Kong, Canada, and Ethiopia, which means that yes, expect couple more episodes of his that will sing praises about the country.
This time, he takes on Singapore’s recent confirmation of a district-wide ban on smoking along Orchard Road. In case you haven’t heard, the entire shopping belt will be going smoke-free come Jan 1 next year, and any smokers caught lighting up outside the 40 designated smoking zones are liable to be fined.
Nuseir, known for his stance against smoking, thinks the “next level ban” is “next level awesome”, and believes that such laws should be replicated around the world.
It’s yet another positive video about Singapore, which will likely attract another wave of detractors accusing the man of being a shill for government interests (which he has outrightly denied before). The Ministry of Environment and Water Resources were quick enough to share the Nas Daily video.
With just 34 more videos to go until Nuseir reaches his 1000th episode, it won’t be long till the Nas Daily series ends for good.
