Myanmar store caught selling overpriced SEA Games footballl tickets

That’s just shameless.

A company called Golden Myanmar Group allegedly did not pass on the discount on tickets that the Singapore SEA Games Organising Committee had given for the final football match between Myanmar and Thailand on Jun 15.

In fact, it even added at least an extra $5 to the ticket price.

“We now understand that tickets were sold at S$25 with the difference allegedly donated to a charitable cause,” Toh Boon Yi, Corporate and Community Outreach chief at SINGSOC told Today.

We’ve heard that one before.

According to the report, Golden Myanmar Group were given 2,050 discounted tickets for below the standard price of S$20 each.

But when it learned about the price mark up, “SINGSOC then withdrew the discount and charged the standard price of S$20, not including the S$1 booking fee, adds the report.
