On October 9, a mother had to undergo the horrible experience of burying her 4-year-old child who died in a serious traffic accident along Bukit Batok Central.

Today, the mom — Jacelyn Wong — continues to seek justice for her deceased daughter. In a Facebook post uploaded last night, Wong put out an urgent appeal for any eyewitnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the accident that killed her daughter.

“I sincerely plead the public to help share this post around and those who are at this area during the time and date of the accident to check your dash camera if you’ve managed to capture any footage of the vehicle,” she wrote, along with annotated images and maps of the accident site.

It is understood that investigations into the case are still ongoing. The 53-year-old driver of the Proton car that knocked down both the toddler and her family’s domestic helper had already been arrested at the scene for causing death by a rash act. Young Eleanor Tan succumbed to her injuries later on in hospital, while the domestic helper survived.

Presumably, Wong needs further evidence and testimonies about the accident due to the fact that a traffic camera near the site had not been “activated”, according to the Land Transport Authority.
