It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and there’s no escape from the yuletide decor, even on trains, MRT stations, and buses. Winter wonderland comes to your public commute across all five MRT train lines, and according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the decked out interiors will last from now till Dec 30.
If the National Council of Churches found Orchard Road’s Disney-themed Christmas decor too unchristian, they shouldn’t have much to complain about LTA’s take, though the aesthetics are pretty secular. It’s all snowscapes, fairy lights, holly and pine trees in four themed trains that will run on all the MRT lines. Serangoon, Newton, Dhoby Ghaut, Orchard and Somerset MRT stations are also decked out with Christmas decorations.

LTA also announced that there are eight Christmas-themed buses this year, while Ang Mo Kio and Bedok Integrated Transport Hubs have also seen the yuletide decor installed.

Too bad the snowy decorations are all you get to enjoy winter-wise, but at least we’ll still get cold weather this month.
