MP for Tanjong Pagar praises efforts of 2 cleaners who recovered jewellery worth $45k

On Friday, Melvin Yong, Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar, publicly praised two honest Tanjong Pagar Town Council cleaners for returning $45,000 worth of lost jewellery. Mr Nurul Islam and Mr Sentu both discovered the items in a TV carton box that was abandoned at a lift lobby in a Queenstown estate, and respectfully handed them over to the authorities.

In return, they received letters of commendation and a statement from the owner about how “delighted” he was to recover the jewellery on the same day he reported them missing.

The best part? A netizen commented on the post to share another good deed by these upstanding guys.
