Most Singaporeans consider their marriage top priority

A survey conducted in 2013 by the Ministry of Social and Family Development has found found that 81 percent of Singaporeans put “being a good spouse” on top of their priority list.

84 percent of respondents who were married claimed to be satisfied with their spousal relationships.

Results of the 2013 survey, which covers a sample size of 2000 with different marital statuses, were revealed at the opening of Marriage Convention 2014.

The three-day event, held from March 21 — 23, is organised by Families For Life and MediaCorp, and features a series of seminars in four languages by local and overseas marriage experts.
