More hotspots detected in Sumatra; hazy conditions most likely to carry on

If you feel sticky and very uncomfortable just walking a couple of steps outside your house, bask in the knowledge that it’s only likely to get even worse.

Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) continue to hit the high-end of the moderate range between 76 to 84 today. Bad news is that the number of hotspots detected in Sumatra have increased to 192 yesterday with smoke plumes emanating throughout central and southern regions of the island, according to the latest haze update by National Environmental Agency. Good news is that it’s expected to be a rainy afternoon today.
