More Bad News: Teochew porridge restaurant Xu Jun Sheng closing on April 14

Legendary Teochew Muay (porridge) restaurant Xu Jun Sheng will take its curtain call on April 14.

Touted by many as one of the best places to have Teochew porridge in Singapore, the restaurant’s owners cited reasons like their old age and manpower issues for the closure.

With over 60 years of history, Xu Jun Sheng also provides other Teochew favourites like homemade fisch cakes, lor bak (braised pork belly) and steamed pomfret.

If you’re wondering what the fuss is all about, head on down to 121 Joo Chiat Road within the next two weeks to see what you’ve been missing out on before it’s gone forever.
