MOE says it is counselling students involved in Shuqun Secondary bullying

The Ministry of Education says has investigated the incident of school bullying that was caught on video and shared by All Singapore Stuff on Facebook this morning.

MOE says it “is counselling the students involved. The school will continue to work with the students involved on observing appropriate boundaries and behaviour in the future. All parents of students involved have been informed of the actions taken by the school.”

The video, taken at Shuqun Secondary School in Jurong East, shows a male student repeatedy a classmate on the head and later slapping the boy on the cheek and then hitting him and another classmate on the head with a book. All this while the rest of the class were laughing in the background.
