A rather naughty image has penetrated the consciousness of local netizens over the past couple of days, leaving hundreds titillated and dozens more nudging and tagging friends named Nicole.
A sign painted on the road that was meant to signify the entrance to the Nicoll Underpass (shortened to NICOLL U’PASS) was unfortunately perceived as ‘NICOLL UP ASS’, leading many to question the chastity of Nicoll.
The new Nicoll Underpass (at the junction of Nicoll Highway and Sims Way) was opened on Apr 2 as a convenient direct connection from the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and Sims Way to Nicoll Highway or Stadium Drive. The unfortunate arrangement of letters in the signage, however, may not be attractive to motorists who aren’t as adventurous under the sheets.
A man alerted The Monitor SG about capturing footage of the road sign on his dashcam, stating that it actually looked pretty normal and totally SFW when he approached it.
Maybe if one entered from the rear, it would be fine as well. Nicoll sure isn’t complaining anyway.
