The parent company of Holey Moley, Funlab announced in a press release on Sept. 7 that the mini-golf and party destination will close its doors on Sept. 30.
“We’re extremely saddened to announce that the final day of tee-off for Holey Moley Clarke will be September 30 2022,” said Funlab CEO, Michael Schrieber.
The decision was made after discussions with Capitaland about the long-term redevelopment of Clarke Quay and the future of the precinct. Sadly, there is not a viable long-term site available for Holey Moley to continue its operations.
Clarke Quay will be undergoing a S$62 million upgrade from the third quarter of 2022 to the third quarter of 2023 and the new precinct is set to be a daytime hangout spot too.
Holey Moley has welcomed thousands of customers over its four years of operations and is a popular spot for group hangs.
The cheeky mini-courses pay homage to plenty of pop culture references, including the Simpsons, ET and Pac-Man.
Schrieber added, “We’ve had an absolute blast in Singapore and hope to find a location for both Holey Moley and our other amazing brands in Singapore in the future.
According to the press release, staff from the Clarke Quay venue will be offered the opportunity to relocate within any of the portfolios of wider Funlab venues in Australia and New Zealand and will assist the staff in the transition period prior to its closure.
