The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) has blocked the Singapore domain of the Ashley Madison site as it “aggressively promotes and facilitates extramarital affairs”, according to Today.
Said the government authority in a media statement, “it is against the public interest to allow Ashley Madison to promote its website in flagrant disregard of our family values and public morality”.

The dating platform has been given the same treatment as websites that contain pornography and prohibited content, which is probably what fans of the Block Ashley Madison – Singapore Facebook group have been hoping for.
We look forward to seeing how the folks at Ashley Madison will react, especially since founder Noel Biderman is reported to be making plans for an official launch in mid-November.
