Here comes a crossover you never expected: Marina Bay Sands has signed a multi-year deal with Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 racing team. The announcement was made yesterday, July 31 – months before the Singapore Grand Prix on Sept. 17.
If you think it’s super random, well, the iconic building that dominates our city skyline overlooks part of the equally iconic Marina Bay street circuit.
The race is one of the most anticipated on the F1 calendar and attracts huge hoards of tourists and locals every year to the city center to catch the racing action and also the entertainment line-up which has included Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber and more.
According to a press release from Marina Bay Sands, as part of the deal, the facade of the building will be lit up in Ferrari red throughout the race weekend in September. Fans will also be able to check out a replica of the iconic car, SF90 which competed in the 2019 F1 season on display at hotel lobby from Sept. 11 to 18.
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, as well as Frederic Vasseur, Team Principal and General Manager of Scuderia Ferrari, will also be involved in partnership activations at the integrated resort.

The Singapore Grand Prix will take place on Sept. 15 to 17 and the entertainment segment includes artists like Robbie Williams, Post Malone, Kings Of Leon, Jackson Wang and more.
