Mapping COVID-19 in Singapore: Infected British man stayed at Raffles Hotel; total cases hit 166

Three more people linked to a dinner event at SAFRA Jurong have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing total infections linked to that cluster to 39 and pushing Singapore’s overall tally to 166. 

They were among six new cases reported by the Health Ministry last night. The other three involved a Singaporean who was recently in France and another who visited Indonesia. 

Twelve people are now in critical condition, the ministry added in Tuesday night’s update

Regarding the British man who became Singapore’s 154th case, the 52-year-old was in Switzerland and the United Kingdom between Feb. 26 and March 5 before arriving in Singapore on March 6 and stayed at the Raffles Hotel. A two-year-old evacuated from Wuhan, China on Jan. 30 tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 10. The girl was taken to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

An employee of security firm Certis Cisco tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 9. The 37-year-old went to the firm’s headquarters in Paya Lebar and was on duty during the Chingay street parade before he went to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

A Resorts World Sentosa employee tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 8. The 54-year-old Singaporean man went to work once and stayed home in Fernvale Close before he went to the Sengkang General Hospital.

A 71-year-old man tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 8. He had picked up his grandchild at the Pat’s Schoolhouse in Kovan, visited the Paya Lebar Methodist Church and attended a gathering at the Braddell Heights Residents’ Committee before he was admitted to the hospital. He lives on Upper Serangoon Road.

An employee of the Yong Thai Hang Chinese medicine store tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 8. The 36-year-old stayed home in Bedok North before he was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases 

39 (Singaporean)

A man who attended the business meeting at the Grand Hyatt tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 8. 

The 51-year-old was in Malaysia from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2 and stayed home in Jurong West Central before he went to hospital. 

38 (Singaporean)

A woman who went to the The Life Church and Missions tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 8. 

The 52-year-old also visited Marina Bay Sands, Chinatown, Plaza Singapura and stayed home at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3 before she was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

A private-hire driver tested positive for COVID-19. The 53-year-old man from Jurong East Street 32 was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

A woman who attended the business meeting at the Grand Hyatt tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 7. The 38-year-old permanent resident was in Johor Bahru from Jan. 25 to 28, visited a family member at the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and stayed home at Bukit Batok Street 31 before she was taken to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

A taxi driver tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 7. The 64-year-old man visited the Redhill Market and Hawker Centre and stayed home in Henderson Crescent before he was admitted to the Singapore General Hospital.

An employee of the Yong Thai Hang Chinese medicine store tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 7. The 40-year-old woman had made contact with case No. 19 and 20. She stayed home on Sin Ming Road before she was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

33 (Singaporean)

A woman linked to the Life Church and Mission cluster tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 6. The 39-year-old woman was in Malaysia from Jan. 22 to 29 before she was admitted to the Sengkang General Hospital.

32 (Singaporean)

A teacher from Victoria Junior College tested positive for COVID-19. The 42-year-old woman visited Changi Airport, the Singapore Zoo and stayed home on Elias Road before she was admitted to Parkway East Hospital. 

31 (Singaporean)

A man who goes to the Life Church and Mission tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 6. The 53-year-old from Tampines Street 24 was admitted to the Changi General Hospital. 

30 (Singaporean)

A man who attended the business meeting at the Grand Hyatt tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 6. The 27-year-old had visited Far East Square, the Junction 8 mall and stayed at home on Shunfu Road before he was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases. 

29 (Singaporean)

A man who reportedly attended a Chinese New Year lunch in Jurong tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 5. The 41-year-old was taken to the Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. 

28 (Singaporean)

A baby tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 5. The six-month-old son of case No. 21 and 19 was taken to the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. 

27 (Singaporean)

The husband of case No. 19 tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 5. The 45-year-old private-hire driver visited Tiong Bahru Plaza, Tiong Bahru Market, the Beo Crescent Market and Food Centre and stayed at his home in Bukit Merah before he was taken to hospital.

The daughter of case No. 13 tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 4. The 42-year-old Chinese national arrived in Singapore with her mother on Jan. 21.

The husband of case No. 24. tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 4. The 40-year-old man met a group of Chinese tourists at the Diamond Industries Jewellery Company in Harbour Drive where he works. 

He visited the Pasir Panjang Hawker Centre and the Hougang Polyclinic before he was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

A tour guide who led a group of Chinese tourists in Singapore tested positive for COVID-19 on Feb. 4. The 32-year-old woman brought the group to the Yong Thai Hang Chinese medicine store, went to the Hougang Polyclinic, visited a nearby supermarket and stayed home in Buangkok Green before she went to the hospital.

A man evacuated from Wuhan, China on Jan. 30 tested positive for COVID-19. The 17-year-old was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

A man evacuated from Wuhan, China on Jan. 30 tested positive for COVID-19. The 41-year-old was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.
