Not to be obtuse, but it seems that Singapore’s politicians are going through a spate of ill health these past few weeks. With Lee Kuan Yew still in intensive care and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong recovering from prostate cancer, Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin reported suffering Pleural Effusion yesterday.
The minister remarked that his chest pains had been deteriorating, accompanied by uncomfortable breathing. Upon medical checkup, doctors found that fluids had been building up in the space between his lungs and rib cage.
