The police are still on the hunt for the man who dared to rob a SingPost branch of S$3,000 yesterday afternoon without the use of any weapons at all.

What the robber-at-large did around 1:30pm yesterday was simple — he donned a surgical mask to protect his identity, entered the branch at Potong Pasir Community Club, and demanded a female employee to hand over all the money.

According to the police account, the staff immediately ran into a room for safety. The suspect then climbed over the counter and made off with around S$3,000 in cash from the drawers. Nobody was injured, and no weapon was involved.

The cops are now appealing for any information relevant to their investigations, describing the man as someone who wore a black cap, black sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes. He was last seen running along Potong Pasir Avenue 1 towards the direction of Upper Serangoon Road with a black sling bag.

Channel NewsAsia reported that the affected SingPost branch will be open as usual today, even while police investigations are ongoing.
