The driver who went on a lunatic drive against the flow of traffic on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) did come to a screeching halt, and obviously in a tremendous accident. It just had to happen eventually, in his road towards madness.
Videos of a red Honda Airwave station wagon travelling at full speed against the flow of started to appear online yesterday, right after they recorded the footage in the wee hours of the morning.
His psychotic drive ended when he collided hard into a taxi, while other vehicles including a motorcycle, a lorry, another car and three more taxis were involved in the accident. Fortunately, three people were only injured and they were conveyed conscious to the National University Hospital, TODAY reports.
The 63-year-old madman behind the wheel of the offending vehicle has since been arrested. May he never drive again.
