30-year-old Abdul Rahim Abubakar was sentenced to 10 months jail today.
The court heard that he’d paid a minor to perform fellatio on him in February 2012, for which he paid a total of $20, TODAY reports.
Though the deed was consensual, the girl, who’d been in her school uniform, was only 14 years old at the time.
Deputy public prosecutor Allison Phua pressed for a one-year jail term instead, saying the accused is 13 years her senior, which is a significant age gap.
Rahim could’ve been fined, or jailed 10 years, or both.
