These days, you never know when someone’s genuinely ranting or just taking the piss when it comes to social media. Take this dude, for example. The (possible) troll recently made it to the Hall of Viral Fame when he kicked up a fuss about NTUC FairPrice denying him and his family a free turkey for Christmas on the Complaint Singapore Facebook page.

Posting on Christmas Eve, he grumbled about his experience at the supermarket chain, where he allegedly told the staff that he couldn’t afford a turkey and suffered “humiliation” in response when he was turned away.

“Where is the kampong spirit we like to boast [about]?” he lamented. “I already promise[d] my family I would have a turkey for them.”

At this point, nothing surprises us about humanity anymore, so this could’ve been an actual person demanding a free turkey in the name of Christmas and kampong “spirit”. But still, we prefer to think it was a sly netizen who took inspiration from the “free swimming lessons” lady to craft his own “complaint”.
