A 35-year-old father was changed in court today for submitting a fake address in order to get his daughter registered in a primary school located in District 10.
The submission was for Phase 2C of the Primary One Registration Exercise, held on July 30, 2013.
The Straits Times reports that the man, identified as Henry Wong Yi Hao, is also facing a second charge for supplying a residential address that did not exist to a police officer at the Kampong Java Neighbourhood Police Centre. The officer changed the address on Wong’s identification card as a result.
Wong intends to plead guilty and will probably face up to one year in prison, and a fine of up to $5,000.
