A gory scene unfolded along Yishun Ring Road last Saturday, where a frightful amount of blood spilled in the corridors of Block 114.
The three-metre long trail of blood splattered the corridor outside the second-storey unit. Police were called to the scene and the body of 76-year-old retiree Wong Keng Woo was found inside.
TODAY reports that his tenant — 34-year-old Malaysian Woo Mui Mee — has been charged in court for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means. It was revealed that she used a paper cutter to slash her landlord’s left forehand at about 10pm last Saturday.
Woo will remain in remand until her next hearing date on Nov 30.
Meanwhile, The New Paper reports that the wife of the deceased had been so distraught about the death that she refuses to wash away all the blood in the house.
“I can’t bear to clean anything. (The blood) is all I have left of my husband”, said the 58-year-old widow, clutching a bloodied pillow case.
