The Monday blues arrived bright and early today for commuters who were afflicted with long delays on SMRT’s East-West Line (EWL).
Troubles first started around 7:36am when SMRT warned commuters about a track fault along the line, which would add about 15 minutes to train travel durations between Jurong East and Joo Koon MRT stations. The transport operator then advised commuters to add another five minutes… and another five minutes after that. By 8:57am, train travel time had been extended to 25 minutes.
[EWL]: Due to a track fault, pls add 15mins train travel time from #JurongEast to #JooKoon towards #JooKoon.
