The wee hours of the morning today saw the busy roads in town shut down due to an oil spill.
The police notified that Paterson Road (towards River Valley) was closed from 3.48am today, directly affecting morning traffic in front of ION Orchard mall. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes as they can expect some delay in travelling time.
The spill was due to oil leaking from a truck travelling along the road, and a report was made earlier at 1.30am.
As of 8.15am this morning, the Land Transport Authority’s contractors were still cleaning up the oil spill and patching up the roads.
