This domestic worker knows sure knows how to play a good game of hide and seek.
Muinah, 35, reportedly stole from her employers more than once and hid the items in places like the kitchen cabinet, under the refrigerator and inside her personal bag.
It’s a good thing her employer also knew how to play the game and was able to retrieve the $60,000 Franck Muller and $35,000 Van Cleef & Arpels timepieces which the maid had already sent to her mother in Indonesia, as well as
money and jewellery that were hidden under the refrigerator.
For abusing her position of trust, stealing expensive items over a period of time, Muinah is spending 18 months in jail. To paraphrase the saying, you can hide, but you can’t run.
