Madonna concert promoter says ‘Standing Pen A1’ will will now be a seated area

The concert promoter of the Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour concert in Singapore on Feb 28 says the new Standing Pen A1 section that it created on Monday will now be turned into a seated area.

In an email sent to Coconuts Singapore, Kinglun International Holdings Co., Ltd.explained that it had “taken the earlier feedbacks into consideration and would like to inform you that the Standing Pen A1 will be reconfigured to a seated area instead.”

On Monday, organizers of the concert divided Standing Pen A into two and began selling the front portion, named Standing Pen A1, for $200 more.

Kinglun explains, however, that “the seating plan is not drawn to scale because it is for reference purpose only, hence it might seemed that Standing Pen A is being shift back. Standing Pen A1 is a reconfiguration of the existing Cat 1 section, therefore the original position of Standing Pen A is not being shifted.”

Pen A ticketholders argue that the concert promoter is just being greedy and missing the point.

“But they are still placing more people in front of us, and that was not what we agreed to when we first bought our tickets,” said one irked buyer.

“They are taking the ‘Unapologetic Bitch’ song too literally,” said another.
