Update: M1 internet service ‘fully restored’ after 24-hour outage

M1 subscribers working from home in many parts of Singapore were having trouble accessing the internet this morning. The telco said it was aware and working to “resolve the issue.”

The broadband provider apologized for the inconvenience on social media and was responding to complaints that have been pouring in since this morning.

“Customers may experience difficulties in accessing fibre services in some areas in the western, central and eastern parts of Singapore. Our engineers are working hard to resolve the issue. We apologise for the inconvenience and will provide updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” it said in a statement.

Those affected have been flooded its page with complaints since as early as 7am.

“Sunny Palms is affected and please kindly resolve it ASAP. Cannot work without it. Thanks,” Facebooker Zhen Feng Chatters wrote.

“Holland Village area affected Please rectify ASAP. Most people are WFH Thanks,” user Chris Tian said.

Other places affected included Sembawang, Tampines, and Pasir Ris.
