Lush 99.5FM defies shutdown rumours, announces two new DJ additions

On Jan. 1, Lush 99.5FM vice-president Georgina Chang wrote on the station’s Facebook page, “many of you have heard the ‘rumours’ that Lush may cease to exist. I’m so happy to tell you that Lush is in NO danger of losing our licence (until it’s up for renewal with the other stations — standard procedure’. The post was titled ‘LUSH IS HERE TO STAY’ and hinted at “several exciting additions to the station”.

Today, 987FM’s DJ Rozz wrote on her Facebook page announcing her move to Lush.

“After 8 years with the station, today marks my penultimate day on 987FM,” the note said. “I will write a proper farewell note this weekend — I would need some time to collect my thoughts and emotions. This is proving more difficult than I thought it would be.”

Rozz isn’t the only one leaving 987FM. Starting Jan. 6, her partner Bobby Tonelli will be taking over the 8pm — midnight slot on Class95Fm as she does her new 5 — 9pm programme, The Evening Lush with Rozz Lee.

Lush 99.5FM is also welcoming Daniella Sya into their team. The Mata Mata actress will take the morning 6 — 10am slot.
