Lucasfilm Singapore announced on Thursday (June 12) the appointment of its general manager, Teresa Cheng — who will be reporting directly to Lynwen Brennan, president and general manager of Industrial Light & Magic.
Her film credits include Shrek Forever After, Madagascar, Batman & Robin and True Lies. Cheng was previously a senior production executive for a joint venture between America-based DreamWorks Animation and Shanghai-based Oriental DreamWorks.
With more than 20 years of experience in the fields of animation, visual effects for film, Cheng looks set for her new role. Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president had this to say about the the company’s newest addition, “Teresa is the rare executive with a solid background of production experience, business development acumen and a rich knowledge of global markets.”
