E-scooter and e-bike drivers have been in the news a lot lately: from a man who had a trailer rig attached to his e-bike, to e-scooters bursting into flames with fiery bits shooting from the scooter.
Never would we have thought that people would still dare to pull stunts with their electronic mobility devices.
One man decided to play hero with his e-bike and was seen doing a wheelie stunt at a junction along Clementi, in a video released by Facebook page ROADS.SG on Saturday.
The video was reportedly shot on Thursday evening at the junction of West Coast Road and Clementi West Street 2. In the video, the e-bike driver is seen attempting to cross a junction and is the first off the bat to move after the traffic lights turn green.
As he is moving off, his bike moves into a wheelie with the front wheel off the ground for about three times before he loses control of his bike and he falls off from it while in the middle of the junction.
Thankfully, traffic comes to a slowdown around him as he picks up his bike after the incident and gingerly pushes the bike aside off-camera to allow for traffic to continue moving.
The comments, as you may guess, are quite hilarious too:
Having said that, it should be noted that the incident could have turned into another accident caused by seemingly reckless actions:
We’re lucky that only his ego was hurt during that incident. Tough luck, bro.
In other e-scooter news, a 22-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a woman while he was riding an e-scooter, according to Channel NewsAsia.
Police are also investigating a 13-year-old who reportedly knocked a woman down while riding his personal mobility device at Pasir Ris Park, according to Stomp.
