Locally transmitted Zika cases rise to 381; Hougang Ave 7 now new cluster

The weekend saw yet another rise in the number of locally transmitted Zika cases — 12 new ones to be exact.

While the total number of cases in Singapore have gone up to 381, no new cases were seen on Sunday and Monday as of 3pm. The bad news is that a new Zika cluster was identified in Hougang Avenue 7, with two cases reported at Block 325 in the area.

This means that the outbreak has effectively spread to nine clusters across Singapore: Aljunied Crescent/Sims Drive/Paya Lebar Way/Kallang Way/Circuit Road/Geylang East Central/Geylang East Avenue 1; Bedok North Avenue 2/Bedok North Avenue 3/Bedok North Street 3; Joo Seng Road; Bishan Street 12; Elite Terrace; Ubi Crescent; Jalan Raya/Circuit Road; Sengkang Central/Sengkang East Avenue and Hougang Ave 7.

Keep safe, guvs.
